Keaton Lapahie, a former NBA player, had watched many of his friends do the one thing he
vowed he would never do…get married. His plan was to enjoy his retirement, open his
restaurant and remain a bachelor for life. Unfortunately, the fast lane caught up with him
requiring his Doctor put him on mandatory medical leave. With time to spare, Keaton packed
his bags and headed to Philly for some rest and relaxation.
In Philadelphia, Keaton finds himself playing Mr. Mom to his young niece and nephew but what
he yearned for is a chance to see Dr. Meridan St. John again. She is the beautiful doctor
who delivered his nephew one year ago. His dreams consist only of her and he prays to get
the opportunity to challenge her to some sensual one on one.
Dr. Meridan St. John had finally fulfilled her life long dream of becoming a Pediatrician.
While it was rewarding, the journey hasn't been easy for her. During her college days,
everyone on campus was convinced she was involved in an underground lifestyle, until she was
nearly killed by a deranged classmate. Meridan's nightmares continue to fuel her anxiety
surrounding this traumatic event and her worries aren't if her assailant would try to harm
her again...it is when.
Running into Keaton again has taken her mind off the gloomy secret she was concealing. He is
not only attractive, but possesses a raw magnetism, leaving her feeling completely out of
his league. He also unnerves her because of his ability to read her so well, making it
difficult for her to hide the truth. This worries her even more when, Jacob, a jealous
childhood friend, shows up and threatens to expose all of her dark secrets.
Worried that Keaton would never understand her past or accept her imperfections, she does
the only thing she could…run!
Will Keaton believe Meridan was an innocent victim or would her secrets reveal she was a
willing participant in a sultry and unthinkable liaison?
When Hell Freezes Over
Keaton entered the bathroom and leaned against the door. Meridan had confirmed everything and there was no turning back now. He would make love to her and hope he would be able to return back to his life in Texas in a couple of weeks.
When he opened the door to the bedroom, Meridan was sitting on the bed painting her toenails. She looked up and smiled at him. He stood there with his skin still
glistening with water. He walked over with the towel still wrapped around his waist. Looking down at her he said, "Let me do that."
"Are you sure?"
Grabbing her foot, he sat down on the bed and proceeded to finish painting her toes.
This man is killing me!
Meridan was being seduced just by the way he was blowing on her toes. He painted each toe methodically, making sure he didn't make any mistakes.
"You're good at this. You've must have done this before?"
He looked up at her mischievously.
"Not as much as you might think. MaLeah keeps me busy painting her little fingers and toes."
"I'm talking about big girls, Keaton."
"You're the first big girl's toes I've ever painted, Scout's honor."
Meridan couldn't help but admire his handsome features. The silky hair on his chest had now dried. His skin was a beautiful brown and his dark eyes were piercing. He wore his hair closely cropped and a neatly trimmed goatee surrounded by dimples which surfaced with every smile.
"There! You're all done. You have pretty feet."
"Keaton are you a foot man?"
Keaton put the top on the nail polish and said, "No, I'm just a man. I like everything about you Meridan St. John and then some."
They stared at each other for a moment. He looked down on the bed and noticed the bottle of lotion. She followed his eyes then looked back up at him.
"May I?"
Handing the bottle to him she said, "Help yourself."
In her heart, she knew the moment his hands touched her she would fall apart. Keaton poured some lotion in his hands.
"Ready?"
She swallowed and said, "As ready as I'm going to be."
It seemed he had pleased her just by his touch. God knows what the experience would be like when they finally made love.
As Meridan laid there trembling, she prayed he would never find out her secret before he goes back to Texas. She wouldn't be able to look him in the eyes. A man like Keaton would never understand.
